Apple has its own computing chips

After the success it had reported with its latest iPhone 12, Apple launched some long-touted devices.

Besides the products, Apple also launched its very first processor. But that’s not the only thing that’s new regarding the new computers. The latest MacBook Air will have the same price as its predecessor - $999, but it will have twice the battery life.

The implementation of the new chips – M1 represents a transition from Intel’s that have been used by Apple in the last 15 years.  The chips will also be found in the MacBook Pro notebook and Mac Mini computer. Starting next week, the products will be available for purchase.

By doing this change, Apple will allow its developers to create apps that work both on phones and computers. Moreover, starting next year, Adobe’s Photoshop software will be available on M1-based Macs.

Following the news, Apple stock price went up 0.2%.
